 | CRIMINAL LAW |
Leslie Harris are now considered by many to be the Fylde Coast's leading criminal lawyers. Unquestionably we have the largest team of dedicated
professionals specialised in criminal law.
We operate separate departments each one controlled by a highly experienced partner.
Criminal law is a very complex area and changes almost daily. Leslie Harris are at the forefront of technology and monitor changes in the law on a
daily basis.
Leslie Harris was the first practice in Lancashire to introduce "in house Chambers". Trevor Colebourne in the practice is qualified as a Higher
Courts Advocates which means he has been further trained and is qualified to appear as Advocates in any court in England and Wales. This level of
advocacy was previously only covered by barristers but now at Leslie Harris, Partner Trevor Colebourne is qualified to deal with every
stage of the criminal legal process from advice in the police station through to representing clients in the Magistrates Court, the Crown Court, the
High Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
Leslie Harris was the first practice to introduce "the Gold Card Scheme". Carrying this card ensures that the police do not take any rights
away from you. You can obtain your free card by telephoning any of our offices.
If you have the misfortune to be arrested by the police (or any other agency for that matter) it is imperative that you obtain the best possible
legal advice without any delay. Our 24 hour Help Lines are there for that purpose and a qualified solicitor or accredited representative can advise
you by telephone the moment you arrive in the police station and can arrange to attend to see you within 30 minutes.
Do not let the police take this right from you - it is imperative that you have immediate legal advice should you cross
paths with the police.
Leslie Harris are contracted suppliers to the Criminal Defence Service and can provide advice at the police station and representation in the
Magistrates Court entirely free of charge.
