Yes, is the answer but we will probably try and talk you out of that! There are many reasons you may wish to change your name. Providing it is for a lawful purpose then within reason you can change your name in any way you wish. You can also change your children's name with parental consent (or consent of the court) and we can deal with your change of name by statutory declaration, within a matter or minutes and provide you with all the certified copies you will need to show to those that need to see it.
"Is it expensive?" No. A straightforward statutory declaration to change you own name will cost you £50. You will need to pay "a commissioner's fee" and VAT and the whole lot will cost you £63.75.
